Composer Notes:

In August of 2021, my wife and I left Wisconsin to move to Nacogdoches, Texas. Moving to a new place, across the country,  with zero connections can be quite difficult. Within a month of being in Texas, my wife brought home an abandoned puppy. At the time, I wasn’t sure if having a dog was in our best interest. I now know that it was one of the best things that could have happened. The amount of joy our dog, Harmony, has brought to our lives is indescribable. She is the missing puzzle piece to a puzzle that I already thought was perfect and complete.

This composition, “Harmony,” is inspired by our trips to the dog park. It is a joy to watch her run around with other dogs. There is a specific amount of clumsiness that is just too adorable to explain in words. The way she tries to run around with her large paws, that she has not quite grown into, is priceless. This piece should capture the attention span and playfulness of a puppy.
