I am excited to announce that four of my arrangements will be appearing on a new a cappella album by Fifth Element. Some of the artists being featured on the album include Bruno Mars, Rascal Flats and Matchbox 20.
If you have not yet heard of fifth element, you will soon hear of them. Fifth Element is a six-member, all-male contemporary a cappella group made up of students from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Since the group's creation in 1998, it has performed music from every genre ranging from Pop, Rock, R&B, Hip-Hop, Country, Classical, Choral and Jazz to original compositions by members of the group.
Currently, their new album is in the process of being mastered; however, to achieve the level of quality they would like to give you they are asking for some financial assistance in order to get this CD distributed as soon as they can. For more information on their plan, how the donation will be put to use and how you can donate please take a look at the video below and the description to the left of it.

We have the Blueprint... here's where you come in!
Fifth Element is a six man a cappella group from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. We are completely student run group made up of guys from a wide range of backgrounds and majors. Our style represents this diversity as we sing a vast variety of genres and styles that we believe generates a mass appeal. Each year Fifth Element goes tour performing concerts in communities, with proceeds benefiting their local school music departments.
"Blueprint" is to be Fifth Element's first album after a six year hiatus from the studio, and the first time that this group of guys has recorded. In that six year period, Fifth Element has been constantly evolving our sound and style, and now we're ready to share that with you.
We already have ten awesome tracks recorded for "Blueprint," and now we just need to finish the process. The post production process for an a cappella album is daunting and, unfortunately, quite costly. However these steps will ensure a product that we can be proud of, and will give you the best representation of the 5E sound. The proceeds from this Kickstarter will go to the following big ticket items:
- Editing
- Mixing
- Mastering
- Copyrights
- Production of physical albums
We're just a bunch of Midwest guys who love singing and supporting local music. We are so grateful for the continuous support we have received from the communities we have visited throughout the years. We're asking for your support with this project to make this album the best it can be.
Thank you,
- The Boyz of 5E
Risks and challenges
-There is no way to tell exactly how long the edits and mixes of each track will take. That being said it's all guess work calculating how long this post production will take. There is always a chance that our goal won't be enough.
-Time is always a factor. Even if we get all the funds we need there is a chance that post production will take longer than anticipated and the album won't be ready for release before our winter tour.
